Ready To Get Involved?

We're thrilled you're interested in volunteering with Best Friends Animal Society. As a leader in animal welfare, Best Friends is quite active locally to achieve the mission of – No More Homeless Pets. Below is a brief description of our programs and initiatives to get you acclimated with our needs here in LA, as well as next steps for signing up to volunteer.

Next Steps:

All volunteers new to the Center (including previous Best Friends volunteers) are required to go through a New Volunteer Orientation before actively volunteering.

Visit bfas.org/volunteerla for an upcoming schedule of orientations, to schedule your orientation and create your volunteer profile. Volunteers are requested to uphold a commitment to serve five hours per month for six months minimum.  Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to volunteer (and supervised by a parent or guardian while volunteering if 12-14 years old).
