No Kill December

Let’s make history. Let’s create a No-Kill December for the animals of Los Angeles. This can be the first month that no healthy and treatable animals are killed in our city shelters. Save a life this holiday season by adopting or fostering from an L.A. city shelter. Together, we can make this a No-Kill December.

Adopt from a city shelter – If you're planning to adopt this holiday season, open your home to an animal in need. Adopt a shelter pet.

• There are six LA City shelters to choose from. From Chatsworth to San Pedro, locate your nearest shelter. 

Foster – If you can’t commit to adopting, then fostering is a great way to give a pet the time they need to find a forever home.

Volunteer – Volunteering helps save lives. Donate your time to help make this December no-kill.

• Opportunities range from photographing or transporting animals at your nearest shelter, to helping from home with one-the-phone or online assistance. Find out more and sign up today.
  
• No sign-up needed! Make an impact in your community by passing out flyers at events, to friends and neighbors, or at your favorite hangouts. Anyone can pick up flyers the LA City shelters or the Best Friends Pet Adoption & Spay/Neuter Center.
